Panos Bournias was born in Greece. Since his childhood he has always expressed a great interest in art in general and in the world of moving pictures in particular. This culminated in his migration to Paris to study fine arts at the reputable ENSBA. He then further pursued his studies at the University of Paris
in Cinematography from where he graduated in 1981. He then moved on to Italy where he lived and worked for a few years before returning to Greece.

Panos has undertaken countless projects in Film, Television, Commercials and other moving picture projects and his outstanding work has received several prestigious awards. He has established himself among the top European Cinematographers and his impressive portfolio comprises more than 60 feature
films for TV companies throughout Europe. He has also acted as a producer and has directed many series and short films, documentaries and art clips.

He produced the first, and highly acclaimed, advertising series for Coca Cola in Greece. He also directed commercials for other consumer brands; most notably a series of clips for Nestlé. He wrote 13 episodes for the internationally awarded short thriller stories: ‘The second blow' in 1986.
